Welcome to the Chisholm Trail District!
Chisholm Trail is one of 12 new districts (as of Jan 1, 2008), part of Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Why the name Chisholm Trail? Because the fabled cattle drives of the 1870's & 1880's passed through the center of our new district -- along a route blazed by cattleman and trader Jesse Chisholm. Chisholm Trail District, serving the youth of the Round Rock Independent School District, is located in southern Williamson and Northern Travis Counties, in the cities of Round Rock, Austin, and Cedar Park Texas. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

WEBELOS Woods

The Chisholm Trail District Webelos Woods adventure is designed to give 1st & 2nd year Webelos Scouts and their parents a preview of the Boy Scouting experience. The program introduces Boy Scout values, procedures, methods and skills to the district’s soon-to-be Boy Scouts. It will serve as an opportunity to sample the differences between the “adult-led” program used in Cub Scouts and the more “boy-led” program used in Boy Scouts.  Additionally, this event gives the Webelos a chance to experience first-hand the thrill of camping in the outdoors at a Boy Scout style camp and will serve to foster a desire to continue in their “scouting careers”.
